Frances Louise Davis, 71, of Cascades Drive in Pembroke, departed her earthly life to receive her eternal peace in heaven from Riverview Health Care in Rich Creek on Wednesday November 17, 2004. Born in Giles County on March 10, 1933 she was a daughter of the late James and Nellie White Crawford. A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest “June” Davis and brothers Mark and Stanley Crawford.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Jeannie Davis of Christiansburg; two daughters and a son-in-law Shirley Myers of Pearisburg, Betty and Jimmy Lee Johnston, II of Pearisburg; five grandchildren James Lee Johnston, III, Crystal Dillon, Chad Kessinger, Sharon Kessinger, Melissa Burdette; five great grandchildren Kaitlyn, William and Drayton Dillon, Brooklyn and Austin Burdette; two brothers and sisters-in-law Leonard and Nadine Crawford of Cleveland, OH, Bobby and Barbara Crawford of Blacksburg; four sisters and a brother-in-law Delphia Bradshaw of Salem, Norma Dennis and Geraldine Nunley both of Christiansburg, Jane and Jerry Lovern of Blacksburg.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall and Pastor Greg Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM
