Neda Jean Collins Meadows, 58, of Rich Creek, went to be with Our Lord Tuesday morning March 1, 2011 at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg after a long illness. Born in Giles County on February 10, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Corbett and Gerthie Snider Collins. She was retired from The Celanese Plant at Narrows and attended Gospel Light of Faith Church in Kellysville, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Daniel Alvin Meadows, and a daughter Pamela Sears.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of forty-three years Grover Alvin Meadows, Sr.; her daughter Teresa Mundell of Rich Creek; and her son and daughter-in-law Butch and Darlene Meadows of Oakvale, WV; her grandchildren Steven, Ashley, Julie, Amanda, Jacob, Joey, Josh and Katelyn; her great-grandson Payden; her sisters Judy Meadows of Radford and Mary Austin and husband Bobby of Dublin; her brothers Burt Collins of Blacksburg, Carl Collins of Narrows, Ray Collins of Pembroke.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Terry Weatherly officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
