John Junior Dudash, 66, of Christiansburg, departed this life Thursday afternoon, February 17, 2011 at his home. Johnny had fought a hard battle with cancer but died at peace in the loving care of his family. He was born on August 9, 1944 in Paw Paw, Michigan. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Christiansburg, for over thirty-two years was employed with Federal-Mogul Corp in Christiansburg, and was a veteran of the U S Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father John Dudash.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of forty-five years, Janet Collins Dudash; his mother Aline Darling Dudash of Kalamazoo, Michigan; his sons and daughters-in-law Greg and Michele Dudash of Blacksburg, Robbie and Carrie Dudash of Clayton, NC, Chris and Bekki Dudash of Christiansburg; his grandchildren Victoria, Alex, Tyler, Lillie, Sam, and Carter; his brothers and sister-in-law David Dudash of Kalamazoo, MI and Stephen and Janice Dudash of Park Forest, Illinois; his special friends Donna and Wayne Bishop; and several very special nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted Monday at eleven am in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Christiansburg with the pastor, The Rev. Fred Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Good Samaritan Hospice,1160 Moose Dr.NW, Christiansburg, VA 24073 or to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1845 Cambria St NE, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
