Thelma Pearl Holt, 87, of Fairview Acres in Pearisburg went home to be with her Lord Monday afternoon, March 14, 2005 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Born in Giles County on May 29, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Conrad Johnson and Minnie Anderson Long. She was retired from the Celanese Celco Plant at Narrows and had attended Faith Temple in Pearisburg. She was preceded in death by her husbands Carroll B. Albert and John W. Holt, two sisters and two brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law Bettie and the Rev. William Perkins of Pearisburg; five grandchildren Andy and Tim Perkins of Pearisburg, Becky Hudson of Pembroke, Pam Doub of East Bend, NC and Ricky Perkins of Max Meadows; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister Ruth Thompson of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following at the Anderson Cemetery on Guinea Mt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
