Arthur Wayne Harless, 60, of Max Meadows and formerly of Pearisburg, departed this life Thursday morning, May 7, 2009 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Giles County on January 7, 1949, he was a son of the late Arthur Dunkley and Lillie Scott Harless. He had worked for many years at Pulaski Furniture and finally at TMD Friction. He was a die-hard Earnhart fan ,a Redskin all the way, and a graduate of Giles High School, Class of 1970.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Debbie Collins Harless; his daughters Tammy Riddle of Dublin, Theresa Turpin and Jeff Hylton of Pulaski, Tina and Brian Chandler of Dublin; his step-son Tracey and Julie Collins of Charlottesville; his sister Linda Faye and Wallace Baker of Ripplemead; his brother David Allen and Phyllis Harless of Dublin; his eleven grandchildren and his one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be conducted at Pearisburg Christ Fellowship on Wenonah Ave at 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, with Pastor Greg Cox officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services. The family is being served by Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke.
