Oma Toler Vance, 84, of Pembroke, departed this life Sunday morning, July 01, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Goodview. Born in Nedís Branch, WV on, February 26, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Morris Henry and Ocie Mae Mills Toler. She was a devout member of Pembroke First United Methodist Church, and retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows with over twenty years service. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Vance, her brothers Garland and Raymond Toler, her sisters Corine Perdue, Juanita Sowards, and Emmajean Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Kevin Dunbar of Goodview, Debbie and Ronnie Gupton of Pulaski; her grandchildren Matthew and wife Vanessa Dunbar of Vinton, Nathaniel Dunbar of Goodview; her great-grand children Katie Dunbar and Emma Dunbar; her brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Sue Toler of Middelsville, MI , Randall and Tina Toler of Justice, WV; and her sister Millie Perry of Simon, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm Tuesday in the Pembroke First United Methodist Church with Pastor Russ Gresham and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church for a time of fellowship and a meal. Burial will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 5, 2018 in the Davis Cemetery in Justice, WV. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
