William Arthur Uzmack, 70, of Longview Circle, Narrows, VA, departed this life Wednesday morning, March 28, 2018 at his home. Born in Springdale, PA on September 9, 1947 he was a son of the late William Uzmack and Anamary Maxine Jewart. He was proud to have served in the US Army as a Med-evac Helicopter Pilot (two terms in Vietnam and one in Korea), and was busy after his military career as a successful entrepreneur in several businesses across the country, he was an accomplished pianist and songwriter and poet. He was a baseball and football fan as well as a classic car enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-grandchild Quintin Peery, and his brothers Rick, Jim, and Don Uzmack. William (Bill) was known to be a loving family man to his children and grandchildren and a devoted husband to his wife of 34 years, and always thinking of others before himself. He was a Colorado cowboy at heart.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Frieda Dugdale Uzmack; his sons Gary Allen (Amy-Beth) Uzmack of Delaware and Andrew Michael Uzmack of Narrows, VA; his daughters Sheryl (Paul) Borzelliere of FL, Elise (John Prasatek) Uzmack of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Jenny Grippe of Narrows, VA; his sisters Nancy (Al) Drexler of Pittsburgh, PA and Judy Healey of Pittsburgh, PA; his brothers Robert (Sheila) and Dale Uzmack both of Pittsburgh, PA, his step-children Thad Bainbridge of Ogden, UT and Ketti Peery of Lakewood, CO; his six grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; also numerous nieces and nephews.
