ANN ELIZABETH HILTON, 75, of Link Circle, Newport, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, September 27, 2017 in the care of Lewis-Gale Hospital Montgomery at Blacksburg and her precious and devoted family. She was born on October 30, 1941 in Ballard West Virginia, a daughter of the late Wilber Lee Lionel Keffer and Lula Frances Davis Keffer. Ann was beloved mother to her large family even while struggling for years with the effects of a stroke being able to stay home through the constant care of her husband and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband James Cortland Merrix, her brother, James Keffer, and her sisters Lola Parrish, Christine Kegley and Louise Cardwell.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband James Edward Hilton; her sons and daughters-in-law Junior and Debbie Merrix of Pembroke, Ricky and Traci Merrix of Pembroke, Jamie and Brenda Hilton of Pembroke; her daughters and sons-in-law Peggy and Erick Falls of Goldbond, Annetta and Tommy Martin of Goldbond; her brother and sister-in-law Franklin and Sylvia Keffer of Louisa; Bonnie and Cecil Denton of Mobile Alabama; her grandchildren Sara Garcia, Jeremy Merrix, Amber Sult, Brittany Merrix, Kevin Martin, Heather Falls, Morgan Hilton, Logan Hilton, Matt Ankers and Joe Ankers; her great-grandchildren Jacob, Miguel, Jaida, Astrid, Will, Landon, Jusein, Shea, Alyia, Carson, Colton, Cameron, Maya, Carissa, Skyler, and Maleigh; her great-great-grandchildren Arabella, Xavier, and Jakobe.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 12:00 noon in Gods House, Lebanon Road. Hoges Chapel just East of Pembroke with Pastors Merrell Hedrick and Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilton Family Cemetery on Big Branch Hollow Road, Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the church two hours before the services.
