CLARENCE THOMAS MABRY, 86, of Cascade Drive in Pembroke, departed this life for his heavenly home, Monday morning, June 12, 2017 at his home in the loving care of his family. “Tom” was born in Pulaski County on February 27, 1931, a son of the late Clarence and Mary Agnes Tickle Mabry. He was employed for many years as a crane and heavy equipment operator with English Construction Co. He was a devout Christian and very active in the Pentecostal Faith, presently a member of the Sinking Creek Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Virginia Mae Epperly and Louise Switzer and his brother Larry Douglas Mabry.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife Betty Wade Mabry; his daughters Mary L Fariss of Pearisburg, Donna Mabry of Pearisburg and Shirley Gentry of Christiansburg; his grandchildren Christopher J Dunn (Jennifer) of Manchester, OH, Karrah Williams (Tyler) of Chapin, SC, Jon Douglas Merrix (Rachel) of Ripplemead, Robyn Seliga of Pearisburg, Jaime Bryant of Lynchburg, and Robert Bryant of Winston-Salem, NC; his twelve Great-grandchildren; one Great-great-grandchild; his sisters Annie Mary McPeak of Radford, Mildred Jones of Salem, and Margie Agnus Cronk of Dublin; his brother James Otis Mabry of Dublin.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, at 12 noon in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with his pastor, Frank Marion, and Pastor Alvin Trivet, James Walker and Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
