JERRY DAVID FRAZIER, 74, of Brickyard Road, Pembroke, departed this life Thursday morning, September 29, 2016, at his home in the loving care of his family. Born in Bluff City on February 10, 1942, he was a son of the late Josiah David Frazier and Gertrude Blankenship Frazier. Jerry had been employed as a heavy equipment operator on construction work and was a veteran of the U S Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Geneva Spicer Frazier, his sisters Genevieve Steger, Mildred Caldwell, and Norma Gray Frazier and his brother Arnold Lee Frazier.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Pamela Darlene Spicer of Blacksburg, Glenda (Sissie) Boothe and companion Brian Akers of Rocky Gap, Robin Thorne of Radford, and Lisa Vaught and husband Michael of Pembroke; his brothers Roy E Frazier of Mt Airy, MD, Billy Estel Frazier of Roanoke, and Lacy E Frazier of Glen Lyn; his sisters Patricia Martin of Narrows and Loretta Turner and her husband Jimmy of Narrows; his grandchildren Cody Vaught, Lindsey Vaught, Allishia Clemons, Andrea Taylor, Brandon Spicer, Casey Thorne, and Nicholas Thorne; and his six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 pm in The Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services.
