Ulysses Lee Quesenberry,

“BUCK” ULYSSES LEE QUESENBERRY, 86, of Glen Lyn and Salem, departed this life Saturday morning, August 20, 2016 in the care of the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem. Born on October 9, 1929 at Coaldale, WV, he was a son of the late Joseph Edward and Laura Rogers Quesenberry. Buck was a veteran of the U S Army, Korean War, was a carpenter by trade, and a member of the VFW and DAV. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Chadric Robertson, his brothers Joseph Jr Quesenberry, Tommy Quesenberry, Stanley Quesenberry, Michael Quesenberry, his sister and brother-in-law Clara and William Caldwell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 61 years Mildred Blankenship Quesenberry; his son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Mary Jane Quesenberry of Pembroke; his daughters and son-in-law Sherry and Kevin Medley of New Castle, and Terry Robertson of Virginia Beach; his sisters Ellen Hartman of Willis and Carol Thorn of Salem; his seven grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Westview Cemetery in Blacksburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5 until 7 pm. Graveside military honors will be presented by local American Legion and VFW Posts.
