James Douglas “Frog” Collins, Sr., 74, of Pembroke, departed this life Monday morning, May 4, 2015 in Lewis Gale Hospital Salem. He was born in Pembroke on April 20, 1941, a son of the late Marcus Chapman and Lucille Martha Williams Collins. Jimmy was a member of Pembroke Christian Church, and a graduate of 1959, Pembroke Corncutters.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Reda Riddle Collins, his children James Douglas “Jimmy” Jr. Collins and wife Cindy of Salem, William Neil Collins and wife Melissa of Charlotte, NC, Kathy and husband Junior Hamblin of Pembroke; his seven grandchildren, Davis, Justin, Kristen, Kaitlyn, James III, Travis, and Nikki; his three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ryder, and Rylyn; his brother Paul Beverly Collins and wife Frances of Pearisburg; his sister Janet Dudash of Christiansburg; a special neice Debbie Anderson, as well as many other special family and friends, and Chance his best four legged friend.
