Jimmy Henderson Wallace, 76, of Pembroke, departed this life Saturday evening, March 7, 2015 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke after a short illness. Born in Pike County, Kentucky on May 30, 1938, he was a son of the late LeRoy Wallace and Virginia Odell Mullins Wallace Deloach. He was a member of Castle Rock Baptist Church in Pembroke where he enjoyed singing in the choir, he was a retired carpenter, he was a graduate of Clintwood High School and an avid genealogist. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Nina McFall.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 54 yrs. Faye Potter Wallace; his daughters Sheila (Scott) Blake of Willis and Missie (Rusty) Ratliff of Vansant; his grandchildren Heather (Trevor) Lyon, Brett Mullins, Jessica (Josh) Rasnick, and Jade Ratliff; his great-grandchildren Caleb, Zachary, Isaac, Jocelyn, Jacob and Dominic; his brothers Teddy Wallace, Roy Dean Wallace, Malvean Wallace and Darrell Wallace; his sisters Ivis (Bunny) Salyers and Gail VanNostrand.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 pm in Castle Rock Baptist Church, Pembroke with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services. The family request that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Castle Rock Baptist Church.
