James Earl Booth, 80, of Pearisburg died Wednesday morning, September 10, 2014 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg after a long illness. Born in Giles County on June 16, 1934, he was a son of the late Everett James and Anna Mae Lambert Booth. James Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Lee Vaught Booth; his sons Danny and Ronnie Booth his brothers Billy Ray, Robert, Frankie, Beauford Richard, and Charles William Booth.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia “Cindy” and Darrell Perkins of Pearisburg, Donna and Carl Cooper of Pearisburg; sons and daughters-in law Gary Wayne and Carolyn Booth of Fieldale, James “Jimmy” Booth of Pearisburg, and Richard “Ricky” Booth of Pearisburg; his 15 grandchildren; his 13 great-grandchildren; his sister Darlene and Bill Tate of Narrows.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall, Pastor Alvin Trivett, and Pastor Debbie Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm Saturday evening.
